Night Nanny
Waking up multiple times throughout the night to tend to your baby can be exhausting, often leading to sleep deprivation and fatigue. The primary purpose of a night nanny is to enhance the quality and quantity of your sleep while providing you with the support you need as you navigate the challenges of new parenthood. As a dedicated night nanny, I am here to nurture and care for your newborn, allowing you the necessary time to rest, recover and recharge.
The respite services I provide are flexible so that they can be best tailored to your specific weekly needs. The support I offer might be especially beneficial if you are recovering from a caesarean section or difficult delivery. Whether you need temporary assistance to re-establish your routine or simply an extra set of hands in the absence of family support, I am here to help. I will manage all aspects of your baby's care, while respecting your preferences regarding sleep and feeding, ensuring you get the vital rest you need.
I adhere to safe sleep practices for infants, following the guidance provided by the Lullaby Trust and NHS recommendations.

Feeding Support
I fully support a mother’s choice of feeding, whether that be breast, bottle, a combination of both, or formula feeding.
Breastfeeding

To keep your sleep-disruption to a minimum, I can bring your baby to you for you to breastfeed during the night, ensuring you have any drinks or snacks you may need. I am available to provide support if required or simply to be a friendly companion to chat with during feeding, and this of course goes for daytime feeding too. Alternatively, I can offer you privacy during this time. Once you have finished feeding, I will then take care of the baby, managing changing, winding, and gently settling the baby back off to sleep. I will also wash, dry, and fold any of the baby's laundry while the baby sleeps, if required.
Bottle Feeding
Whether your preference is formula or expressed breast milk, there is no need for you to wake up, organising and warming bottles. While you rest, I will take care of this, adhering to all aspects of feeding, winding, nappy changes, and settling the baby to sleep. I will ensure the sterilization of all equipment, including bottles, pumps, and dummies. I will also wash, dry, fold, and organize any of the baby’s laundry if required.
Formula selection
I can provide guidance on various formulas available on the market and offer recommendations on how to gradually introduce or transition to a new formula if needed. This includes formulas specifically tailored to allergies and specialist dietary needs.
Recognizing that every baby is unique, I can provide recommendations on the most suitable bottles and teats to accommodate your baby's individual latch.
multiples & specialist newborn care
I have extensive experience in all aspects of caring for newborns, having worked with twins and multiples, as well as premature babies. Colic, reflux, allergies & TONGUE TIE are all conditions I am accustomed to diagnosing. Having had two premature babies of my own, I have first-hand experience of both the practical and emotional challenges this can bring.

24 Hour support
Each family I work with has their own individual needs, and these needs might not always slot neatly into a set working window. Sometimes, a little more help can make all the difference and so I also offer a 24-hour support service combining maternity nursing and night nannying roles.
But whether you require assistance for just a few hours each day or around-the-clock support, I am here to help you by providing support, guidance, and ADVICE.
