Maternity Night Nanny

Getting up to your baby several times in the night can be exhausting, often leaving you sleep deprived and worn out. I can provide respite on a weekly basis, anything from one night per week to to six nights per week. It may just be to assist you with a trouble shoot over a short period, to get your routine back or an extra pair of hands when your partner is away. I will deal with all aspects of care for your baby and help adhere to any preferences you have with regards to sleep and feeding. Giving exhausted parents some much needed sleep.

General duties would include:

- Changing nappies

- Night feeding

- Winding

- Gently setting baby

- Preparing and sterilising bottles

- Dressing the baby the following morning

I practice safe sleep for infants as advised by the lullaby trust.

Maternity Nurse

Rest and recuperation following the birth of your baby is vitally important and is something that is often overlooked in our modern, western culture. One of the many benefits of having a maternity nurse is that you can rest safe in the knowledge that your precious newborn is being loved and cared for.

You may just need help for a few hours per day, may not have any family members around who can help with the baby, or might have undergone a C-section or traumatic birth.

I can offer support with establishing a gentle feeding routine and guide you through all the practical parenting skills including:

- Winding

- Bathing

- Changing

- Implementing settling techniques

- Handling teething concerns

- Understanding your babies coos and cries

Feeding Support

I can work with you whether you are breast, bottle or combination feeding, offering advice with cluster feeding, growth spurts, weaning and your babies development.

Over the years I have helped mothers learn to breastfeed, transfer from breast bottle, find the right bottle and formula formula, manage colic & wind, & just about everything inbetween.

Specialist Newborn Care

I have extensive experience with premature babies having worked with  newborn twins as well as babies with colic, reflux & allergies. Having had two premature babies of my own I am well versed in both the practical and emotional challenges this can bring.
